Anonymous reporting and personal details

You have the option to submit any hazard or near-miss report completely anonymously. If you choose not to share your identity, no personal details are captured. If you prefer to receive updates or allow authorities to contact you, you can optionally provide your name, phone number, or email address.

Location data, photos, and authority routing

We only collect GPS coordinates, photos, and video uploads when you deliberately attach them to your report. This information is shared strictly with relevant agencies—such as local councils, WorkSafe NZ, NZ Police, or NZTA—solely to resolve safety risks. Anonymous submissions remain free of personal identifiers.

Accessing your information and privacy contact

You maintain full control over any personal information submitted to our platform. If you wish to review, update, or delete your contact details, or if you have questions regarding our compliance with the Privacy Act, contact our team at privacy@safe-nz.co.nz.
